RESEARCH - Artist branding/synergy

An artist promotes themself and their music by creating and displaying a particular brand/style across all of their different platforms. This includes their music videos, digipaks, teasers and promotional advertisements. They make this branding clear through costumes, props, locations, colours, graphics and appearence. These all work collectively together to highlight a key feature of the artist or theme for the album to create a syngery across all the products that promote the artist's album.

I have chosen an artist as example:

As seen above, the Weeknd carries a number of features over his album, related images and music videos. He has an oriental theme with a black, white and teal colour scheme. He also tends to use a certain text font to represent him and his music so that it is immediately recognised as his. All these factors work together to create a 'brand' for him.
