Mulveys theory

The Male Gaze:
The gaze is how the audience look at what is being presented.
Some features of the male gaze is the way the camera lingers on women's body and stuff that happens to women in videos.
She argues that this objectifies women making them come across as sexual objects.

In this music video women are presented as sexual objects and are filmed in a sexual way. The male gaze is demonstrated here clearly because of the way women are presented.

Mulvey is criticised for failing to understand that some women choose to be presented in this way. Artists such as Beyonce or Rihanna like to present themselves sexually in order to entertain their audience and gain more viewers.
