Rihanna - Only girl (in the world) is one music video that puts a lot of emphasis on it's costumes, settings and locations. They are all very extravagant and this is purposely done to show viewers that the artist is fun and exciting. Also, it intrigues people to watch and therefore promotes the single, artist and album. We see Rihanna in a number of different outfits throughout the video and they all give her different appearences for example one makes her seem sweet and innocent whereas another portrays her as older and sexy. A main prop that is repeatedly used is a large flower. This adds to her gentle appearence and reminds the viewers of her youth and purity. Also, the colour pink is used on a large scale and this symbolises her femininty. The setting and locations used in the video are huge and very attractive. Where she is resembles a large field. It looks surreal and fairytale-like which pulls in a female audience as well as male who are pulled in by her appearence.
