What is a digipak?

A digipak is a type of packaging for cd's, typically made from cardboard with an internal plastic holder for one or more discs. Digipak is a modern packaging technique and is now being used by much more people than it used to be, its very popular and seen as the best way to package. It provides people with more knowledge about the artist and promotes them.

What is on the outside of a digipak?

Outside the digipak there is an image of the artist which takes up most of the space because the idea of a digipak is to promote the artist. With the image their is the artist's name and album's name. The artists name is usually bigger font then the album name because they are promoting the artist. Also the album name and artist name will be in clear font so it is easy to read. The track list will also be in clear font to make it easy to read, this will be on the back cover with everything else such as record label, barcode and information about production.

What is on the inside of a digipak?

Inside the digipak there tends to be the track list of the album again which provides people with more knowledge about the artist. There are also images of the artist, these images tend to be the main thing in a digipak because the idea of a digipak whether its inside or outside is to promote the artist and build their reputation.
