PLANNING - Do's and don'ts

In order to create a successful digipak and magazine advert, there are a few things I should avoid doing. The most important thing to remember is that we are trying to advertise a new artist therefore their identity should be clear
:
  • Display the artist clearly
  • Spend an equal amount of time designing each section(including inside)
  • Include tracklist, barcode, company information etc.
  • Link the appearence of each product(digipak, ad & video) - use synergy
  • Use the rule of thirds on the magazine ad
  • Use at the most 2 clear fonts

  • Use more than 3 colours
  • Use an effect on the image of the artist
  • Cover the artists with writing
  • Use an unclear font
  • Stretch images to fit into sections
