EVALUATION PLANNING - Q1

In what ways do your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

  • both uses and challenges andrew goodwins theory... singer used as narrator and main character, singer doesn't look at camera, uses illustration
  • uses vernalis theory... not much continuity editing, jump cuts used, cuts obvious to attract attention, master shots used, camera in time with beat/rhythm
  • Influenced my Maverick sabre - I need, look what i've done to you and Devlin - London city. editing and camerawork influenced by maverick sabre, visual/imagery influenced by devlin.
  • challenged in way that we used fast motion for a little bit which doesn't match slow paced song
  • challenged in way that there was more scenery than basetracks/lyrical peformance
